Each coaster starts as a piece of 100% natural black slate, handmade from solid, untreated stone — so no two are exactly alike. They’re 4 inches across and 0.4–0.7 cm thick, with a flat, smooth surface that sits steady under a glass. The dark charcoal stone and natural texture give every coaster a clean, modern look, and the light-grey engraving stands out against it.
They’re made to be used: slate protects your tabletop from stains and heat, and the engraving is permanent — it won’t wash off or wear away. Care is simple: wipe clean with a damp cloth or a little soap, and coffee stains wash right out. Hand wash only, and they’ll keep looking new for years.

About these coasters
All three collections are engraved the same way, so a design can be mixed and matched across a set — pick any four, in either shape.
The slate
Natural slate with a rough, chipped edge — no two coasters are exactly alike. Each blank is 4 inches, in square or round, and the dark charcoal surface is what gives the engraving its contrast.
The engraving
Designs are laser-engraved in light grey, centred in about a 3½-inch area. What you see here is the actual artwork at the size and position it will be engraved. Every design is also available as an outline — just the lines of the design, with the slate showing through — at the same price.
